I can’t believe 2025 is just around the corner—time flies! It feels like I just wrote about the 2024 home trends, and my readers absolutely loved it. So, I’m back again to highlight the upcoming 2025 home interior trends!
Some trends are here to stay, some are fading, and others are brand new. The world of home interiors is always evolving—styles come and go, some stick around, and a few may stand the test of time. While I may not love every trend or rush to revamp my home with each new one, I always enjoy seeing what top designers create. It’s inspiring, exciting, and a fun way to refresh our spaces!
2025 Home Interior Trends:
1. Wall trim

Wall trim has been a major trend over the past year, with picture frame molding leading the way—and for good reason! It’s an affordable, timeless addition that brings elegance and depth to any space. We’ve incorporated this trim into our own home and absolutely love the transformation! Check out our dining room here and our living room here.
2. Wallpapered ceilings

Wallpapering the ceiling was never something I had considered, but it has been gaining popularity toward the end of 2024—and I predict it will be even bigger in 2025. While it might not be for everyone, it can truly elevate a space and add a unique touch!
3. Less beige

Beige isn’t disappearing—it’s timeless, beautiful, and effortlessly versatile. However, it’s stepping out of the spotlight as richer, bolder colors take center stage. Expect to see deep, moody hues making a statement in cabinetry, furniture, and décor, creating a more dramatic and sophisticated ambiance in 2025.
4. Detailed countertops

When it comes to countertops, the details make all the difference. While sleek, uniform white surfaces were once the go-to, the trend is shifting toward more veining, intricate edges, and unique cutouts. Even subtle details can have a major impact, adding depth and personality to a space!
5. Rich saturated colours

I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s worth highlighting again—rich, saturated colors are everywhere in designer homes. And it’s not just on walls! Think cabinetry, sofas, trim, carpets, lighting, and more. I personally love this trend—it brings so much character and uniqueness to a space!
6. Natural Materials

The use of natural materials has been on the rise, and I don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. Elements like stone, wood, clay, and greenery add incredible character while being environmentally friendly—a true win-win! These materials create a warm, inviting atmosphere while also offering durability and timeless appeal.
7. Gallery Walls

Gallery walls had their big moment a few years ago, then took a brief step back—but they’re making a strong comeback this year! And honestly, who doesn’t love a well-curated gallery wall?
8. Minimalist and Maximalist

When it comes to upcoming trends, you’ll hear some say minimalism is on the rise while others claim the opposite—I say both are! Maximalism is being embraced, not in the form of clutter, but through bold choices like patterned tiles, wallpaper, and layered textures. At the same time, minimalism remains popular for those who prefer a clean, understated aesthetic. In the end, it all comes down to personal preference!
9. Darker Wood

The oak trend is still going strong, but darker wood tones are becoming increasingly popular in kitchens, cabinetry, and furniture choices.
10. Cozy Cottage Vibes

The farmhouse trend is gradually shifting toward cozy cottage interiors, moving away from shiplap and classic black-and-white palettes in favor of warm, neutral, and inviting spaces. Materials like stone, rich wood tones, and vintage or unique pieces were beloved last year and will continue to be top choices in 2025.
What other trends do you think will take off this year? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
And remember—just because something is trending doesn’t mean you have to love it or feel the need to renovate. Your home should reflect your personal style and what makes you feel comfortable. Trends come and go, but a home you love is always in style!
